Spirit Shot (双龍弾 Sōryūdan, lit. Twin Dragon Bullet) is a two-handed energy technique in which the user stretches their arms out and blows the opponent(s) away with dual Kiai blasts. It is a version of the Kiai technique used by Goku.

Overview

Goku crosses his forearms out in front of him, then throws his arms out creating an enormous force that blows his opponents away.

Goku initially uses it in his battle against Jeice and Burter on Namek. After the Purple Comet Hurricane fails, Goku lands a hard blow in Jeice's face. When Jeice and Burter begin to retaliate, Goku blasts them both away with Spirit Shot before they can ready their attack. The attack does not cause them any damage but thoroughly humiliates the pair and prevents them from attacking Goku.

Goku later uses this technique on Earth against Cooler's Armored Squadron in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge.

In the fourth version of the Dragon Ball Z Kai intro, Goku uses a similar technique as a Super Saiyan.

In the Dragon Ball Super manga, Goku Black uses this technique after being blasted by Future Trunks as a diversion on his escape.

The technique is used in the Budokai series: it is named Ki Blast Cannon in Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World and Battle of Z, Spirit Shot in Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai, as well as Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit and Dragonball Evolution, and Kiai-hō (気合砲) in Dragon Ball Heroes and Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle.

In Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai - Another Road, both Gohan and Future Gohan use a one-handed version of the technique. While Future Gohan's technique is named the Spirit Shot, Present Gohan's technique is simply named the Kamehameha.

It is a normal Kiai technique used by Goku in the Budokai Tenkaichi series, the Raging Blast series, Dragon Ball: Zenkai Battle Royale, and Dragon Ball: Tap Battle.

Future Trunks uses a technique very similar, called Aura Saber (オーラセイバー), in the arcade game Dragon Ball Z 2: Super Battle.
