Tao disconnects his robotic hand, revealing a hole through which he fires a bigger and more powerful Dodon Ray. Tao also adjusts the biological waves to match that of his target, so the Super Dodon Wave will pursue the target until it blasts them.
Cyborg Tao uses this attack to try and kill Tien Shinhan during their match in the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament, however, Tien nullifies the blast with a Kiai and then defeats Tao with one punch to his stomach. When Tao reappears years later, he uses the technique in an attempt to kill Mr. Lao, but fails when young Gohan steps in the way of the attack. Unlike Tao's regular Dodon Wave, the Super Dodon Wave has never succeeded in doing any damage to the opponent due to his opponent's great strength.
