Super Masenko (超魔閃光) is a more powerful version of the Masenko technique used by Gohan.

Overview

First, Gohan raises his hands above his head like the normal Masenko, but charges it with more power. Then, while it is being prepared, some of the excess energy is released as streaks of yellow electricity. Finally, Gohan brings his hands forward and fires the attack at the opponent, inflicting a high amount of damage.

Gohan's first use of the attack is in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, while in his Super Saiyan form, in order to test how strong he has become.[2] Super Saiyan Gohan uses the Super Masenko once again during the final battle against Hatchiyack on the Dark Planet.[3]

The technique made its video game debut in Dragon Ball Z Gaiden: Saiyajin Zetsumetsu Keikaku, where it is named Gekiretsu Masenko (激烈魔閃光, lit. Raging Fury Demon Glint). It was named Super Masenko in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, where it appears as one of Teen Gohan's Blast 2 attacks in both his base and Super Saiyan forms. It is also used in Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit as Teen Gohan's ultimate attack, in the Raging Blast games and Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi as one of Teen Gohan's Super Attacks in all of his forms, and in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z as Teen Gohan's Super Attack in his base form. The technique is also available for Light Class Heroes in the Create-A-Hero mode of Ultimate Tenkaichi.
