The Darkest Day (んなバカな! 土から生まれたサイバイマン, Nna Baka na!! Tsuchi kara Umareta Saibaman) is the twenty-second episode of the Vegeta Saga in the uncut Dragon Ball Z series. The episode first aired on October 11, 1989. Its original American air date was February 1st, 1997.

Added by BeadtmdcThe Saiyans, Vegeta and Nappa, defiantly announce their arrival on Earth with the complete destruction of East City. Sensing their power, Piccolo, Gohan and Krillin prepare for the worst and meet the Saiyans face-to-face, where Piccolo learns of his origins on the planet Namek.
Yajirobe also learns of the Saiyans' arrival. A police inspector and journalists watch him surprised and Yajirobe yells and repeats that "It WAS the Saiyans!" The inspector questions what Saiyans are, and Yajirobe answers the question to him. Yajirobe uses this occasion for profit, telling that the Z Fighters are his men and will take care of the Saiyans. Our heroes are left facing an onslaught of sprouted Saibamen under the grinning command of Vegeta and Nappa.
