The Tables are Turned! Witness the Power of Perfection! (「形勢逆転！完全体セル、ついに始動」, Keisei Gyakuten! Kanzentai Seru, Tsui ni Shidō; lit. "The Tables Have Turned! Perfect Form Cell, Finally Goes into Action") is the eightieth episode of Dragon Ball Z Kai. Its Japanese air date was November 7, 2010. Its American air date was October 10, 2011.

During their training period within the confines of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Gohan angrily goads his father into fighting all-out against him, believing it to be the only possible method to attaining the Super Saiyan transformation. Obliging the young boy, Goku transforms at full power and launches a blazing Kamehameha against his son. As Gohan attempts to thwart off the stunning attack, he reflects back on all of the times in which he was not courageous or powerful enough to protect his friends; this sense of self-loathing and fury aids him in achieving the Super Saiyan form, for however brief. Goku congratulates him and suggests that Gohan get a haircut, and with that, the two Saiyans share hearty laughter amongst themselves. However, the pair are completely oblivious to the ensuing terror outside of the room. Finally having achieved his perfect form, Cell basks in the glory with his newfound power intact. Krillin, overcome with grief and rage at the loss of Android 18, charges towards Cell and attacks the android with numerous blows, including a full-power Destructo Disk. Unfortunately, his efforts are wasted, as Cell is completely unscatched by the onslaught. Still not convinced that the new Cell has surpassed him in strength, Vegeta approaches Cell and readies himself for battle. Meanwhile, Future Trunks tends to the injured Krillin and feeds him a Senzu Bean. Krillin warns Future Trunks that Cell has become unbelievably strong, and that his full power is yet to be unleashed. Vegeta and Cell soon start their battle, in which the Saiyan prince is completely outclassed by the new superior being. Krillin soon realizes the full scope of their dire situation and requests that Future Trunks release his full power, completely aware of its concealment by the hybrid warrior. Future Trunks refuses, stating that he does not want to humiliate his father in doing so. However, he soon comes to the conclusion that he will intervene Cell's assault, but only after Vegeta is no longer conscious to watch his power increase. In the meantime, Cell persists in his merciless attack as Vegeta stands helpless against the android's newly-achieved, superior powers.
