The Terror of Cell (忍びよるセル, Shinobiyoru Seru; lit. "Cell Sneaks Up") is the thirty-first volume of the original Dragon Ball manga. It was released on August 4, 1992 in Japan, and on April 14, 2004 for the English version. It was released in North America as Dragon Ball Z volume fifteen, with the chapter count restarting back to one. It concludes the Imperfect Cell Saga and marks the beginning of the Perfect Cell Saga.
Volume introduction by Akira Toriyama
"At some point, my workroom turned into a storeroom. Magazines, plastic models, model guns, air guns, and other odds and ends keep increasing, and aren’t going to just disappear, so there’s become less and less space to walk around. Now, out of the entire week, I only use this room on the day my assistant Matsuyama-kun helps me out, and most of the time, I work in the living room with my children getting in the way."
Cell escapes from Piccolo with a Taiyō-Ken. Goku recovers from his heart disease and informs everyone about the Room of Spirit and Time. Vegeta and Trunks begin training first. Cell is attracted by the battle between No. 17 and Piccolo, and No. 17 is absorbed by Cell.
