so i know that in order to increase your friendship level or use dual ultimates u have to be teamed up with your instructor however what i am curious about is can u still do these things with a varient of your instructor for example if i have 1st form frieza as a instructor can i increase his friendship level or use dual supernova with golden frieza as my ally or does it specificly have to be 1st form frieza

It is specifically first form Frieza because the game considers each of Frieza's forms as separate characters

What Tiger just said right now is correct. If you want to quickly increase friendship lvl with your instructor, I recommend doing some PQ's with two of your instructors in team and using their super attacks.
