Tri-Form is a technique that allows its user to split into three identical duplicates to fight as a group. It is similar to the Multi-Form technique used by Tien Shinhan, which divides its user into four separate beings.
Overview[]
The technique made its debut in Dragon Ball Z episode filler, used by Piccolo during his training in Break Wasteland.[3]
Later, both Piccolo and Krillin use the technique, while fighting with Nappa.[4]
Krillin later uses it against Gohan during their mental battle aboard the Nameless Namekian's Spaceship on their way to Namek.[5]
Dodoria uses the techniques when attacking Moori on Namek.[6]
Video Game Appearances[]
This technique is referenced in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z, in a mission in which Gohan and the Dragon Team face three Piccolo as part of their training for the attack of the Saiyans. Its usage against Nappa is also referenced in one of the Saiyan point of view missions in the game, where Krillin and Piccolo use it to fight the Saiyans after Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu have been defeated.
The technique is used by Innocent Buu in Dragon Ball Xenoverse after becoming Dark Majin Buu to fight Super Saiyan 3 Goku.
