Ranfan's husband is never mentioned in the original Dragon Ball manga, nor in the anime adaptation. The only mention of Ranfan's husband that was ever made is in the book Dragon Ball: Bouken Special (a character guide published in Japan by Shueisha in 1987). Akira Toriyama would end up reusing the name "Trunks" for Bulma and Vegeta's first-born child.
