[edit] Dragon Ball Wiki

On Dragon Ball Wiki, I am generally responsible for providing article rewrites (of which I've so far completed those for characters whose names start with the first two letters of the alphabet), analysis on the video game Budokai Tenkaichi 3, and submitting the favicon used by the wiki. My first contribution to Dragon Ball Wiki was made to the Puar article, on November 8, 2008, and as of January 1, 2009, I am also one of four sysop administrators at Dragon Ball Wiki. As a reminder to users who challenge their writing being reworked, there is absolutely no problem with visitors and users making contributions, but (as I've noticed some diversity among the wiki community), if for example your current level of education is eighth grade, or you are more fluent in a language other than English (as Dragon Ball Wiki is a wiki geared towards an English audience), you must accept that other users will more than likely come along to tweak or rework your contributions if appropriate. Everyone has the privilege of editing a wiki, but when you can't accept the idea of your writing being edited mercilessly or redistributed, then why submit it?

[edit] Dragon Ball-related likes and dislikes

I am an avid fan of anime, but I'm in no way a typical "fanboy". Still, since this is a wiki community for Dragon Ball, I thought it would be fun to list some of the things in the series that I personally enjoy or become frustrated by.

My favorite Z Fighter is more than likely Goku, considering how I grew up watching Dragon Ball, then Dragon Ball Z, so the roots of my being exposed to the character go deeper than simply tuning in to reruns, catching up on episodes through DVDs, etc. My favorite mainstream villain is Frieza (my only criticism being in the Funimation dub, Linda Chambers-Young's annoying laugh is looped up until the character gets serious during the Frieza Saga). Despite making very few appearances in the series and debuting at a time when he is grossly outclassed by other characters (Future Trunks and Goku), King Cold's mannerisms interest me as well, and it's a shame his being in the wrong place at the wrong time has branded him with being an incapable fighter. My favorite non-canon film villain is Android 13 (although Broly's appearance in Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan is a close contender). In terms of my favorite film, I have trouble deciding between Dead Zone, Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan and Wrath of the Dragon.

Onto my equivalent, dislikes list, my least favorite Z Fighter is probably Trunks (I can't decide between him and Future Trunks; as large a following as either of the characters have, they don't do very much for me). My least favorite mainstream villain is Babidi, and my least favorite non-canon film villain is Lord Yao. In terms of my least favorite film, specials like A Hero's Legacy make this decision simple.

In addition, I find it annoying that Funimation includes major label rock and metal bands in the soundtracks for some of their film dubs. The only Dragon Ball soundtracks that really do anything for me are Shunsuke Kikuchi's incidental pieces used in the Japanese dub, and Bruce Faulconer's electronic work used in the Funimation dub. If I honestly wanted to hear "Stupify" or "Change (In the House of Flies)" during a fight scene, I'd look up the 500+ fan edits hosted on YouTube.

As for the future of Dragon Ball video game spin-offs, characters Windstorm would like to see in a Budokai Tenkaichi 4 (Budokai Tenkaichi being his personal favorite Dragon Ball fighter sub-series) include Master Shen, Cacao, Tora, androids 14 and 15, Paragus, Hachihyaku, Bio-Broly and Teen Goten.
