db wiki founder?

I've been meaning to ask this, who actually created dragon ball wiki. You guys became administrators a year and two years ago. But this wiki was created in 2005 and I don't see any users that have been active since then?

Yeah, there aren't any currently active administrators from when the Wiki was created. As far as I know, it was Dantman who created the Wiki originally. Don't quote me on that though, I'm not absolutely sure it's correct :P. Normally I don't read fan-material, but I'll take a look at it when I have some time in the near future and let you know what I think. 21:27, August 26, 2010 (UTC)

I'm not completely sure about the two new what-if characters in Raging Blast 2. Are they like the other six new characters. Are they made up? I don't understand, btw can you teach me how to make templates. 19:57, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

Well, it's unclear at this point. The fact that there will be two new What-If characters is confirmed, but we don't yet know if they will be part of the six new characters or separate. We will learn more in the near future likely. As far as templates go, probably the best way to learn would be to take a look at the coding for some already existing templates. Something like the {{Z Fighter fan}} template would give you a good starting point. Hehe, yeah most of the userboxes are just that easy. Templates used for articles are much more complicated though. The {{techniques}} template for example that we use for the directory at the top of techniques pages, are much more involved coding wise. 20:26, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

i always thought that gohan and vegeta were using super saiyan in gt. but the wiki says its super saiyan 2. can you please clear things up?

Most of the time, they had blue arcs of lightning in their auras during GT, which is evidence of Super Saiyan 2. Also, they often had the single bang of hair hanging in front of their face, also evidence of Super Saiyan 2. Sometimes it's just hard to tell though. A good question, and possibly one of GT's plot holes (or at least something that isn't explained). Also, remember to sign your posts by placing four tildes (~). 02:41, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

Those are called templates. They are added by placing the name of the template in brackets. For example, if you place {{Z Fighter fan}} on your page, it will show up as the "Fan of the Z Fighters" template. To change your avatar, you just mouse over your current one, and it will give you the option to change yours to something else. Hope that helps. let me know if you have any trouble. Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound

You said I broke the template but I didn't. The original Japanese title is "銀河ギリギリ!!ぶっちぎりの凄い奴". 銀河 is usually translated as the galaxy. the Milky Way is usually called 天の川 (ama-no-gawa) in Japanese. Of course the Milky Way is sometimes translated as 銀河, too, but as you can see from those dictionaries[1][2][3], 天の川 comes first. When you look up 銀河 in Japanese-English dictionaries, "galaxy" usually comes first[4][5]. So my edit was pretty reasonable, wasn't it?--大空翼 09:29, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

Oh yes, quite reasonable. When looking at the edit though, it did not seem reasonable at the time. You changed how many lines the template fit on, which in the edit history makes it seem like the entire thing has been erased and remade differently. Also, there was no information provided in an edit summary, so the actual difference was not apparent. The edit history can be found here. You can see how any actual change is not obvious, making me think it was a formatting change that was unnecessary. Hope that explains everything. You can feel free to place the information back. Just as a tip, though, try and leave an edit summary on your edits. This way the actual purpose of the edit can more rapidly be understood by someone like an admin who is going through a lot of edits quickly. It will prevent your edits from being reverted only because someone can't tell why the edit was made. Make sense? 16:17, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I just made an edit clearing that up. In the future, try and bring the issue up on talk pages before it escalates to being an edit war. Also, the articles should always been writen from an unbiased perspective. Opinion words like "Fortunately" or "Unfortunately" should just never be used to remain neutral and all about the facts. 15:47, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

This seems rather unnecessary to me. There are thousands of pictures of Goku already on this Wiki, and many more that will be uploaded in the future. You may want to ask some other admins, as that's just my opinion though. 04:35, September 6, 2010 (UTC)

To be honest, the easiest way is for SuperSaiyan3Broly to just tell you what he wants in the poll, then you can go and do it DragonBallZGTGoku. This will stop the template being vandalised. It will also take some of the work off you DragonBallZGTGoku, as I know you do various other things around here. hello its me again. I just discovered something very peculiar. The other day i was watching "The History of Trunks" and after the movie finished, something was wierd to me. When Future Trunks was fighting Androids 17 and 18 in SSJ1 form, he got beaten to a pulp, but when he went back in time to give the antiodote, i noticed something. He was able to fight and kill Mecha Frieza without breaking a sweat. Whats wierd to me is that i remebered being told that Frieza was stronger than the Androids in his first form, but since he was was Mecha Frieza at the time, I remembered that he was stronger than ever. Mecha Frieza is much much stronger than the Androids, but was able to get defeated by Future Trunks, who was easily beaten by the Androids. How come Trunks can beat Frieza in his strongest form but yet lose to the Androids, who are weaker than Frieza?

Hmm, I suppose if it's in a reasonable place, a picture of them powering up isn't a problem. However, even that won't lead anyone to believe that they are stronger than a normal SS. That's just not a logical implication of such a picture. And there would be no explanation of such a thing, as it would be speculation. The reason those pictures are not proof of an SS2 transformation is that many times during the anime series, archs of lightning (one of the trademarks of SS2 in the manga) are placed randomly without regard to the actual form the character was in. We cannon speculation from pure observation of an animation that was often in error earlier in the series. It just couldn't be logically called factual, despite the evidence. I'm afraid it doesn't clearly show anything of the sort. There is nothing objective about speculating power levels from inconsistent animation. It is entirely subjective and used mainly for entertainment, not necessarily to be accurate. Your speculation makes sense. It really does, don't get me wrong. The ban on videos on the Wiki is simple. They slow things down. A page with a lot pf pictures or text you might notice takes longer to load. Well, videos are even larger files than those, and would slow the overall navigation of the Wiki down significantly.
