Moving content

Radaghast, It's a shame I didn't notice it. But you made a big mistake. You can't do cut & paste copies. It violates the GFDL. When you copy content from one page to another instead of using the move then it breaks the history. If you ever come across an article you cannot move because another article exists there you should request that an admin such as myself move the page. Can you please list out all the pages you moved by copying and pasting? It's just to much for me to find on my own. Once you list all those pages I'll merge the page histories so that we won't have the GFDL violation anymore. ~Dantman(talk) Jun 18, 2007 @ 06:33 (UTC)

Ok, next time I need to move something, I do it with "move" button or by asking you. There was only one till now, Dead Zone. Most of the time I don't move existing content here, I just add "new" one made from partially rewritten articles deleted from English Wikipedia. --Radaghast 07:31, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

To request something for deletion you don't add it to the category, you put {{delete|quick=true}} for speedy deletion. ~Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Jul 1, 2007 @ 12:16 (UTC)

Cool, thanks! I'm gonna request deletion of other wikipedia legacy redirects once I made sure nothing links to them. --Radaghast 12:19, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

I don't believe we've met

First off, my congratulations to you and Dantman on really cleaning up this wiki. This is exactly what was needed here, it is so much better now compared to last month. Of course, Freeza's page still sucks, the Ginyu Force characters need renaming (either Japanese names or manga names is fine, not the dub) and there are too many "ô"'s, "ō"'s and "ū"'s that need to be changed to standard format like the Latin alphabet. This is why I moved Piccolo Daimaō to Piccolo Daimao and Ox King to Gyumao instead of Gyūmaō. Those normalised names were mostly translated in the Dragon Ball anime's Japanese-audio English-subtitles by Steve "Daimao" Simmons, the notorious person who translated the anime Dragon Ball, DBZ (and I think DBGT). He is highly respected by many fans in Dragon Ball fandom and I feel the names he gave to the characters should be used here. For example, I read on WPDB that he translated Majin Buu in the Japanese-audio English-subtitles to Majin Boo. I don't have the DVD to confirm this, but that name makes a bit more sense than Djinn Boo, does it not? Please fill me in on your thoughts. I might edit today if I finish cleaning up here at home. Regards, Burdock

We haven't met or talked, but I've surely seen your edits! Glad to meet you now on my talk page! Speaking of names, as of now, I'm trying to have all the redirects that make sure the link goes to the one right page no matter how many weird symbols it got. Later we can do another cleanup round with fishing out all uses of alternative names saved those in the title (as in "Gyumao, also known as Ox King, is..." and then only "Gyumao" through the whole article). Glad to hear there is an official reference we can stick to! From now on, I'll make pure-latin versions the main articles and leave the ô/ō/ū for redirects. I must say I disliked "djinn Boo" translation immensely because it got rid of the "MA" (魔) that's very important: it's the same in Piccolo DaiMAo, in GyuMAo, in MAfuba, MAkankosappo, MAsenko, BakurikiMAha, ChobakuretsuMAha, and it's the same kanji Gohan has on his clothes during Vegeta Saga. --Radaghast 11:48, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Saga Group

A saga group is a hypophetical name for it. It shows da connections to sagas. Like Imperfect Call + Perfect Cell, which are direct connections. Direct connections being...

  1. The next saga is based on the same day.
  2. The Same Enemy
  3. The same plot line (i.e. on Namek).

The DBZ pages on Wikipedia ALSO follow a similar pattern, but with sagas being sub-sagas and the Saga groups being the actual sagas.Forerunner 18:20, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Another small image request

^_^ Your Dragon Ball Images are great, do you want to do some tweaks and stuff to them now so we can use them for various things? Just a few. I just finished up the Infoboxes so it would be nice to have a set of icons to use with them. We could use a full range of 1 thorough 7 star Dragon Balls (You've already got 7 of course). That's something that was said to be handy from the start, but the 1 star would be great to replace 426px-One Star DB svg which is used in the {{DB Series}} template which dishes out the icons. Also, if you don't mind. Could you use that 1 star to also create something kinda better than One Star DBZ.

This request is a little seperate, but I did the DBGT Logo image myself once. If you think you could improve it or do better, feel free to. Thanks... ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Sep 9, 2007 @ 09:09 (UTC)

I have a one-star ball already: it's posted as Stub with some background that can be cut out and re-uploaded under another name, I'll do that. The seven-star ball is here: 7 Star Dragon Ball. I've also changed Image:Dbz-logo-155.png as you requested on your talk page two months ago, but it seems you forgot to update it - or decided not to use it for some reason? Anyways, I'll take a look at existing svg logos and upload all seven variations of the Dragon Balls as soon as I can. --Radaghast 10:56, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

I've also added somewhat fancier stuff like different sizes, positions, glares and shadows. The schematic version that you might still use in some template is kept as 7 Star Dragon Ball simple. I've also made Z Ball to replace One Star DBZ. Enjoy! --Radaghast 12:28, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
O_O Z logo and GT logo..... AWESOME!!! ^_^ I never would have expected something as great as those (You might want to edit the image page on Image:DBGT Logo.svg though to accurately depict who made it.) Heh, the new dragon balls are kinda strange, but... meh... lol. Oh btw, embedded images don't work anymore because Wikia has put that in place, but there are some hosting services that do work. You can enter the discussion at w:Forum:Externally hosted images if you want another place whitelisted for embedding, or upload it to cause that's on the whitelist. I'll fix up the images in the templates later. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Sep 30, 2007 @ 19:04 (UTC)

Move Djinn Boo to Majin Boo

Hey Radaghast. Perhaps we should get to renaming this one. I believe "Majin Boo" was utilised in Steven J. Simmons' subtitle translation. Anything you wanna add before this task is done? Burdock

As I have already said above, I'm all in favour of renaming that - I just haven't got much time to spend on Wikia lately, but I'll help as much as I can with that. --Radaghast 12:38, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
You want to ask Dantman to perform the move or should I? I'm gonna ask him a question. Burdock

Radaghast, since you created the wiki's logo and have the base. Can you use it to create the wide logo for the quartz skins. Just basically take the logo, grow the size of the dragon ball so it vertically spans the logo's size on the left, and move and enlarge the text on the right open area. Take a look at w:c:inside:Quartz Skin Customization for information on the new logos. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Oct 24, 2007 @ 23:51 (UTC)

I somehow either missed your request or forgot about it completely, sorry! Now it's done - the most difficult part was locating those vectors I made last year... --Radaghast 14:07, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
