Van Zant

Van Zant is a character who first appears in the Majin Buu Saga. He is a deranged gunman who enjoys killing innocent people (apparently with the rationale that, since it's "the end of the world", he wants to go out with a bang). He shoots an old lady and then gets his friend Smitty to shoot her husband (this scene is only shown in the uncut). After killing many innocents, he decided to go to Majin Buu's house to try and kill him so he could kill more people (which is ironic, as his excuse for killing people in the first place was because he figured that Buu would be destroying the Earth). Van Zant shoots Bee, Majin Buu's puppy dog, then he and Smitty blow up Buu's house with missiles. Mr. Satan then pummels both Van Zant and Smitty. Van Zant later returns for revenge and shoots Mr. Satan. Though both Bee and Satan survive, Majin Buu gets angry, causing Evil Buu to appear from the steam coming out of his head. The first thing Evil Buu does is blast Van Zant into nothingness. In the uncut, there is a scene where Van Zant shoots Evil Buu moments before his death, but the bullets bounce off him.
In the Ocean Dub version, he has an Australian accent.
