Wendee Lee (born in Los Angeles, California) is an American actress, voice actress, writer, director, and singer. She is note-worthy for having more credits than any other English anime voice actor, with over 200 credits.

Biography

Wendee Lee started doing voices at school. As of April 2009, with 223 credits to her name, She voiced Bulma in the Harmony Gold dub of Dragon Ball, credited as Wendee Swan, and reprised the role nearly three decades later in the Bang Zoom! dub of Dragon Ball Super. She also provided additional voices and directed in Sand Land provided by VSI Los Angeles.

Wendee Lee has came under fire in 2023 for her actions in appropriating roles originally meant for people of color, specifically black characters with the most recent example being her forcing out a fellow peer Anairis Quiñones from her role as Yoruichi in Bleach and taking back over the role. Despite being white herself, Lee audaciously took on these parts numerous time , displaying a troubling disregard for the importance of diverse representation in the entertainment industry. Lee has also exhibited an entitled attitude towards her fellow actors, creating a toxic work environment .
